HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

 

 

Cornerstone Design and Engineering Limited (CDE) provides high-quality design-build services within the Construction Industry. CDE is committed to safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of its employees, contractors, visitors and others who may be affected by its operations.

 

It is therefore the policy of CDE, to do all that is reasonably practicable to:

• Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legal requirements and other requirements to which the company subscribes;

• Identify hazards associated with work activities and implement suitable control measures to minimize associated health and safety risks;

• Prevent and report work-related accidents, injuries and ill-health; and establish arrangements for managing potential emergency situations;

• Provide safe plant and equipment, including safety gears for use at work and to ensure it is properly inspected and maintained;

• Ensure that employees are provided with necessary training, information and instructions; consulted and made fully aware of their relevant responsibilities;

• Establish objectives and targets to guide the process of implementing the above commitments at relevant functions, and regularly review the set objectives.

Every employee is responsible for his/her own safety and that of others. Similarly, it is a duty of every employee to cooperate with the employer in implementing this policy. Directors are responsible for providing adequate resources for ensuring that this policy is effectively implemented and maintained. Managers and Supervisors are responsible for the health and safety of all employees under their supervision.

This policy will be reviewed regularly, communicated to all persons working under our control, and made available to all interested parties upon request, as appropriate.
